We are Colombo Special Fasteners, an Italian family business, specialising in the manufacture of special fasteners according to customer drawing.
Founded in 1955 by Piero Colombo as a factory geared toward the production of standard screws, wire drawing and resale, in 1985 under the leadership of Marco Colombo a radical transformation took place. A series of brave and far-sighted choices made over the years, place us today among the main leaders in the cold forming field of special parts.
Nowadays we manage every stage of the production process with the aim of increasingly internalising them. The development of each project is subject to a careful preliminary analysis which together with our co-design service, enables the evaluation of the most critical issues.
In our production department parts are cold formed and finished with special threads, machining operations, heat and surface treatments through to careful inspection and sorting.
The acquisition of the heat treatments company CITT SRL in 2019 and the complete renovation of all the facilities in the new 4.0 plant has contributed to a substantial increase in the production capacity: we stand as a partner able to provide an even more exhaustive service in terms of offer, qualitative performance and timing.

Under the new name of COLOMBO SPECIAL FASTENERS SRL a radical corporate transformation begins. Initial higher qualification of standard products, to then produce almost exclusively special fasteners.
Marco Colombo takes over the management of the company alongside his mother, due to his father’s illness.
Relocation to the new plant in Cisano Bergamasco (4.400 sqm).
Piero Colombo founds the company Viterie Colombo in Lecco, specialized in the production of standard screws in low carbon steel and in the drawing and re-sale of wire.
